LAST CHANCE TO JOIN THE LRG THIS YEAR!

The next Basic Skills Session will be this Saturday 1 November 15.45-18.00 at Mulberry Leisure Centre, so if you’re thinking of skating with the London Rollergirls for the first time, this is your last chance for 2008! Don’t be scared, we’re a friendly bunch. Once you’ve been to a Basic Skills Session you can start skating with us at our weeknight practices (and you can also learn the game and help out our ref team at our Sunday scrimmage practices). Basic Skills Sessions are also great for brushing up on your skills and are open to all levels.

We’ll be taking a break as a league starting the 7th of December and the next Basic Skills Session after the one in November won’t be until 10 January 2009. For those can’t make it in November or those of you who want to practice your skating skills during the break, we encourage you to check out the various roller discos and places to skate in the area and join us back in January. Here are some opportunities:

Roller Discos:

Renaissance Rooms (in Vauxhall)
http://www.renaissancerooms.co.uk

Rollerworld (in Essex)
http://www.rollerworld.co.uk/

Roller City (in Welwyn Garden City, just north of London)

Facebook

Outside Skating:

Easy Peasy skate in Battersea Park
http://www.easypeasyskate.com/

Hyde Park- Serpentine Road

Tatum Park banked track

We’re still taking in potential rollergirls over November, however only in an off-skates volunteer capacity until the January basic skills session.
