Camden Town’s Bar Monsta was on the fast track to capacity crowd by the time the first band hit the stage. Dirty Love got kicked off the proceedings with fast paced rocking tunes, as their charismatic front woman got right into it with some serious audience participation!
Next to take the stage were The Sharons. Rumour had it that this was the last show for these South London punks, I’ve heard otherwise, though if true then it was a mighty good send off! Sing-a-longs, tight melodies, man on man breast groping action (!!) made these guys a definate crowd pleaser.
By this time many pints had been consumed, loads of buttons, patches, tee shirts & boy beater tops had been eagerly purchased and hopefully everyone knew just a little more about Roller Derby! If you’re still curious, check out:

Everybody’s favourite psycho-rockabillies, the Hot Rocket Trio, were greeted with much enthusiasm. Well crafted tunes like Dead By Dawn and Femme Fatale had the crowd shakin & boppin away those voodoo blues. Barely a year young, these boys are headed for great things so don’t say we didn’t warn you!
To finish the jam-packed (haha) evening, a whole bunch of prizes from the lovely guys and gals at Kreepsville 666 were raffled off. Some folks get all the luck!
As the witching hour neared, our LRG Directors, Miss Sugrrr Cain & Miss Bruise Violet were presented with surprise trophies as a bit of recognition for their tireless hard work & general ability to kick ass…Thank you ladies!
And thank you, as always, to everyone who crossed path with a black cat, opened their umbrella indoors, or walked under a ladder and still managed to come down and support the London RollerGirls!
