Another evening of debauchery and devilishness presented by the London Roller Girls, at Bar Monsta, and let me tell you, you missed out big time if your weren’t there!! (Don’t worry, there will be more!)

Our Valentine’s Day Love Massacre was a huge success, with rockin’ performances from our XX Chromosome Bands: Killer Heels, Voodoo Hussy and Love and a .45. It was great to have a chick-filled line-up!

Our Bake Sale went off awesomely. The cupcakes had some delightful messages on them in icing, like “boys smell�, “you suck� and “die�. Fun for all the family! Proceeds of which have gone to a Women’s Refuge Charity. Thanks to Ala et al., for sitting behind the table all night to sell them.

Bambi Manslaughter’s Mode Merr Fashion Show was like something straight from Paris Fashion Week; our models Sugrrr Cain, Anna Monoxide, Kitty DeCapitate and Lady Frankenstein shimmied and pouted in their super-cute outfits. A big loud LRG Thank-you to Naj from Voodoo Hussy, who was so besotted by our foxiness, that she took to the mike and publicly swooned over us. Yay! It’s so hard being so spunky AND talented skaters to boot.

Our raffle prizes from Blood Brothers Tattoos (thanks guys for donating!) and Mode Merr were most excellent.

Some other highlights included; Djing and MC shenanigans by Anna Monoxide and Bambi Manslaughter, Pam’s rollerskate cookies, general drunken antics by all, the cool kids manning (womaning?) the merch stall, and of course Bambi’s legs.

The London Roller Girls first came to our attention last year when London magazine Time Out printed a feature on them. They’re tough, gutsy and energetic and take roller skating to a new dimension. We checked a few of them out on MySpace and caught up with them for a chat. Oh, and they look REALLY cool…
